2007–2008 AAA COMMITTEES
ACCOUNTING EDUCATION COMMITTEE
(Standing Committee of the Association)
Charge:
Serve as the coordinating committee for various Association activities that involve education. Specifically:
- Monitor and incorporate education efforts of outside constituents and organizations with those of the Association.
- Respond and provide input to the Executive Director on education issues.
- Respond to and address education issues as presented by the leadership of the Sections and Regions.
- Assess the portfolio of educational activities of the AAA for breadth and adequacy.
Membership:
Chaired by the Vice President Education, new committee members are appointed annually by the President.
Meetings:
The Accounting Education Committee meets annually during the AAA Annual Meeting, and may meet by conference call scheduled by the Chair during the rest of the year.
Responsibilities:
- To fulfill the charge to the Accounting Education Advisory Committee.
- The Committee Chair reports on the activities of the committee for each meeting of the AAA Executive Committeee, providing advanced materials when appropriate.
Chair will plan an annual meeting of the committee during the AAA Annual Meeting, arranging for time and space for the meeting with the AAA Meetings Director, and notifying members. This meeting typically includes both the previous year's and new year's committee members.
