2009–2010 AAA TASK FORCE COMMITTEES
Intellectual Property II Task Force
Charge:
- Developments related to creation of intellectual property and the publishing environment are shifting the delivery and economics of intellectual property. As with other academic associations, production of intellectual property has been, and can be expected to continue to be, a major activity of the AAA membership.
- The AAA Intellectual Property Task Force II will examine the shifting environment in which intellectual property is created and disseminated. Technological, economic, financial, organizational, competitive, and intellectual consequences of the changes in publishing and intellectual property on the AAA and its members will be considered. The Task Force will make recommendations as they relate to the organizational and financial structure of the AAA, AAA current and future publication/intellectual content creation and dissemination and any other relevant issues that arise during their deliberations.
Membership:
New committee members are appointed annually by the President.
Meetings:
The Committee will meet as needed.
Responsibilities:
- The Chair prepares and sends a progress report twice every term-year, with deadlines of October 23rd 2009 and February 26th 2010, to the Executive Committee Liaison, AAA President, and Executive Director regarding accomplishments or modifications.
