Financial Regulatory Reform Task Force
(Previously: Treasury Reform Response Task Force)
Charge
To monitor and provide appropriate general policy and educational impact assessments and response commentary relating to reforms of the financial regulatory system of the United States. Specifically:
- Create a high-level assessment of the financial regulatory system from an accounting perspective and provide, as part of this assessment, an outline for future legislative activities.
Membership
- New committee members are appointed annually by the AAA President.
Meeting
- The committee meets as needed.
Responsibilities
- Employ the AAACommons as a means of informing members of the committee’s activities and responses.
- Provide regular communications and reports to the President and the Executive Committee regarding issues being monitored and responses provided.
- The Chair will have the opportunity three times every term-year to prepare and send a progress report which will be available for the Executive Committee to review at their next meeting. This report should include accomplishments and suggested modifications and should be sent to the AAA President, the committee’s Executive Committee Liaison, and staff liaison, Barbara Gutierrez (barbara.gutierrez@aaahq.org).
