What is the AAACommons and what are its benefits to members?

  • The AAACommons is our online networking platform and is accessible from http://members.aaahq.org/login. Members may share teaching methods and resources, start or continue research with colleagues, find and join a Section or Region discussion, or locate information about the Annual Meeting or upcoming Section and Region meetings.

  • You may access the AAACommons by using your AAA log on information. This information was emailed to you when you first joined the AAA. With your AAA username and password you are able to access the AAACommons, register for a meeting, or renew your dues.

How can I receive access to the FASB Codification?

  • The Academic Accounting Access Program is available to departments of accounting through the AAA. If your school has signed up for the program your Department Chair will have your log on information. If your school has not signed up the enrollment form is available online at http://aaahq.org/FASB/Access.cfm.

How do I access my online Journals?
Note: Your login to the Digital Library is different than your AAA member log on information. The login to the Digital Library is the email address that you used to originally set up your account and the password of your own choosing.

  • You get access to your journals by responding to the e-mail you received about the new Digital Library.

  • If you do not have that email, you may register at this link: http://aaajournals.org.pinnacle.allenpress.com/action/registration

  • If you have already chosen your log on information, and have forgotten you password, please go to this link to reset your password: http://aaajournals.org/action/requestResetPassword

  • If there is any problem retrieving your log on information or if you have any questions about your publications account, please send an email to info@aaahq.org or call 941-921-7747 and one of our Member Services Representatives will be happy to assist you.

  • A page has been created in the AAACommons to provide some quick tutorials, and the opportunity for you to ask questions and to get quick and timely answers! The videos are about two minutes each in length and will provide you with a quick overview of the Digital Library, how to sign up for Table of Contents alerts and how to use Favorites. There is a link that will take you directly to the Digital Library once you are finished reviewing the videos. The link to the AAACommons page is: http://commons.aaahq.org//hives/bce2683c0b/summary

When will I receive the hard copies of the journals I subscribe to?
Note: Hard copies of journals are only available for full members.

  • If you are a new full member and have chosen to subscribe to the hard copy option for your AAA and/or Section journal(s), we will send you the journals you are missing back to the start of the member year (September 1). This package will arrive at about the same time as your welcome package.

  • If you are a current full member and have chosen to subscribe to the hard copy option for your AAA and/or Section journal(s), you will automatically be sent your journals as they are published.

  • Following is a list of publishing months for AAA journals:

The Accounting Review January, March, May, July, September, November
Accounting Horizons March, June, September, December
Issues in Accounting Education February, May, August, November

How do I obtain Copies of Articles or Reprint Permissions?

Claims Members
I am not receiving printed copies of journals. Who should I contact?

  • The print versions of Association-wide journals are available to full members who subscribe to the journal and pay the additional print copy fee.

  • Some Section journals also have a hard copy option for full members to add to their membership. Section membership is required and the hard copy option varies from $10 - $15 depending on the publication.

  • If you have not received a journal, or are not certain if you signed up for printed copies when you renewed your membership, please send an e-mail to info@aaahq.org or call 941-921-7747.

Claims Subscriptions
Who do I contact to report missing issues of AAA Journals?

  • Please send an e-mail to info@aaahq.org or call 941-921-7747.

  • Missing issue requests will be honored ONLY if received within six months of publication date for domestic subscriptions and nine months for international subscriptions.

  • How do I change my mailing address and affiliation?
    Please go to https://members.aaahq.org/cvweb_aaa/MainLogin.shtml and log in using your AAA username and password. Click on, "Update User Account Information" and update any of your personal, professional, or contact information.

  • How do I make the change from a student to a full member? If you have not renewed your dues yet, you may make this change when renewing online. If your dues are already paid, please contact us at info@aaahq.org or call 941-921-7747 and one of our Member Service Representatives will be happy to assist you.
