Committee Charge and Major Sections of the Report
The charge given to
this committee (committee members are listed in the Appendix)
was to:
Examine the
changes taking place in higher education, business schools,
and accounting and information systems programs ... and
recommend actions the AAA or its members can take to respond
to the changing environment.
In responding to
this charge, the committee held two meetings and worked
off-line in a series of task forces that addressed various
aspects of the changing environment for post-secondary
education in business and accounting. This final report
summarizes the findings of those task force initiatives.
The ultimate goal
of this report is to assist the AAA and all of its members -
whether affiliated with traditional educational institutions,
corporate universities, or for-profit universities - to better
serve their customers (and their customers' customers).
