Actions

• Continue to sponsor the Annual Seminar and the New Chairperson’s Seminar. 
• Increase attendance at the APLG Seminar from accounting program leaders at institutions that have not generally participated in the past. 
• Continue to sponsor development activities at regional meetings. 
• Continue to publish the newsletter and maintain the website.
• Provide formal professional development opportunities in addition to the Annual Seminar such as single-topic workshops. 
• Develop a forum to communicate best practices in accounting education.
• Provide a mentor program for new accounting program leaders.
• Identify and respond to the needs of members and supporters of APLG.         
• Continue to build and maintain relationships with related academic and professional organizations, including FSA, AAA, AACSB, ACBSP, AICPA, FEI, IMA, and IIA.
• Participate actively in changes in accounting accreditation. 
• Serve as an advocate for the profession in responding to policies, laws, and regulations that will impact the future of accounting education.
