Schermerhorn Symphony Center - The highly-anticipated Schermerhorn Symphony Center, named in honor of the late Maestro Kenneth Schermerhorn who led the GRAMMY® Award-winning Nashville Symphony for 22 years,opened in September of 2006 and is home to the critically acclaimed Nashville Symphony. The Schermerhorn Center has been rated one of the top concert halls in the nation, and it is within walking distance of the Renaissance.On Saturday, February 7th, the Schermerhorn is hosting Ax Plays Brahms at 8:00 p.m.
Nashville Predators - Also within walking distance of the Renaissance is the Sommet Center, home of the Nashville Predators. The Predators play the Redwings Tuesday February 10.

The Hermitage - Visit The Hermitage, Andrew Jackson's Greek Revival home, then browse the country music legends on display at the Music Valley Wax Museum. Take a ride on the famous Music City Queen or dine with a view at the unique Aquarium Restaurant.
Belle Meade Plantation - The Greek revival Belle Meade Plantation, is considered the loveliest of Nashville's historic plantations.
Nearby is the Cheekwood Botanical Garden and the Cheekwood's Museum of Art, founded by the family that started Maxwell Coffee. The Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Museum of Art features several galleries in one location, a 1920s mansion built by the prominent Cheek family. The mansion sits on 65 acres of beautifully landscaped property and houses a museum of fine art, a contemporary art gallery, gardens and more.
The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum - features over 3,000 exhibits, including the gold records ( plaques commemorating million sellers ) and stage costumes of the early country stars. You'll learn about the origins of country music, what made it so popular and how it maintains its fierce following today. The Hall is a short walk from the Renaissance.
Murfreesboro – If you’d like to make the short drive to Murfreesboro, you can visit the historic Oaklands Historic House and Museum - it contains relics of 19th Century life in the South. The nearby Stones River National Battlefield marks a three-day Civil War battle that left nearly 100,000 dead. Enjoy a meal at the Outback Steakhouse. Cannonsburgh Village is a restored colonial town where all of the buildings look just as they did hundreds of years ago. The Murfreesboro/Rutherford County Center for the Arts is also close by. There are art exhibitions, performances and other cultural activities here throughout the year.
