In coordination with the Midyear Committee, plan and administer a research session at the 2007 ATA Midyear Meeting.  This includes the solicitation and selection of papers, speakers, moderators and discussants as needed.

In coordination with the Midyear and New Faculty Concerns Committees, plan and administer a New Faculty/Doctoral Student research session at the 2007 Midyear Meeting.  This includes the solicitation and selection of papers to be presented as well as selection of moderators and/or discussants.

Establish and post in both the Summer and Fall 2006 ATA Newsletters as well as the ATA website the guidelines for submission of New Faculty/Doctoral research papers to the ATA Midyear Meeting.

Create a research column for the Fall 2006 and Summer 2007 ATA Newsletters that includes citations and brief summaries of several research articles in each of the major paradigms that are likely to be of interest to ATA members.  Strive to find articles that are in journals that ATA members may not routinely read.

Consider how the efforts of this committee can increase the public persona of the ATA
