Charges
1 Review the solicitation and selection guidelines for the ATA/Deloitte Teaching Innovation Award.
2 Solicit submissions of innovative tax teaching strategies developed by ATA members by placing a notice in the Fall 2008 ATA Newsletter and on the ATA web page.  At least one author or co-author must be an ATA member.
3 Select the winner(s).  Notify the ATA President as well as the Dean and Department Chair at the recipients' institution(s) and where possible the institutions' Media office for University.  Provide all details of the award winners to the ATA Webmaster for posting in a timely manner.
4 The committee chair will arrange for the plaque(s) and presentation by a Deloitte representative or a committee member at the ATA luncheon at the  AAA Annual Meeting.
5 The committee chair will work with the  Mid-Year meeting chair to arrange the session in which the winner and other nominees (as determined by the committee and mid-year program chair) will present their innovation at the  Mid-Year meeting.
6 Invite other worthy (but not award winning) submissions to summarize their innovation for the ATA website and/or newsletter.
