American Taxation Association

University of Illinois IX Tax Research Symposium

CALL FOR PAPERS

Champaign, Illinois
September 16-17, 2005

The Ninth University of Illinois Tax Research Symposium will be held on the Urbana-Champaign campus on Friday and Saturday, September 16-17, 2005. This is a biannual symposium designed to bring together leading tax scholars from accountancy, economics, finance and related fields.
Authors employing rigorous research methods to study any tax-related topic are invited to submit papers.

The Department of Accountancy will publish a monograph that contains a synopsis of each paper presented and discussants' comments. The intent is that such publication will not preclude authors from submitting completed papers to scholarly journals. Reasonable travel and lodging expenses for presenters will be reimbursed.

PAPER DETAILS:

Papers should be well developed, but at a stage where they can still benefit from the suggestions of symposium participants. A separate cover sheet should contain the name and address of the author to whom correspondence should be addressed. If applicable, it also should indicate other symposia or conferences at which the submitted paper has been or will be presented.

Authors will be notified during June as to whether submissions have been accepted for presentation at the symposium. The program will include approximately six papers.

PAPER SUBMISSION PROCEDURES:

Please submit an electronic version of the paper (preferably in PDF
format) no later than May 1, 2005, to:
