To encourage internal audit research by doctoral candidates, The Institute of Internal Auditors' (IIA) Research Foundation supports the Michael J. Barrett Doctoral Dissertation Grant Program. This program provides funds to selected doctoral candidates interested in the field of internal auditing. Eligibility is not limited to IIA members or IIA-endorsed schools. Any doctoral candidate pursuing a Ph.D. or DBA in auditing, accounting, or business from an accredited educational institution is eligible to apply. Individual grants vary from $1,000 to $10,000. The next deadline for applications is October 31 2004.
