Celebrating 25 Years of Supporting Auditing Research
The 2008 International Symposium on Audit Research (ISAR 2008) will be held at the Westin Hotel in Pasadena, California [ http://www.isarhq.org/nextisar.html ] on May 30 and 31 and is sponsored by KPMG. The Symposium will follow the 27th Annual USC SEC and Financial Reporting Institute Conference to be held on Thursday, May 29, 2008, at The Langham Huntington Hotel in Pasadena.
ISAR 2008 is special in that we will be celebrating 25 years of USC support of auditing research and development. Plenary sessions concerned with the following topics are planned:
- Audit research issues and opportunities from a global perspective
- The nature of audit evidence within the changing audit environment
- Whatever happened to Audit Judgment Research?
- Is there actually 'audit risk' and if so how should it be defined, modeled and assessed?
