The Committee responsible for the Distinguished Service in Auditing Award is seeking nominations from the Sectionís membership for the 1997 award. The illustrious careers of past recipients of the award, Jerry Sullivan, Don Leslie, Ken Stringer, Robert Mautz, Robert Elliott, W. W. Cooper, James K. Loebbecke, John J. Willingham, Jay Smith, William R. Kinney, Fred Neumann and Bob Sack represent the type of outstanding contribution to the profession that exemplifies this recognition. This award is given periodically and recognizes distinguished service to the academic auditing profession and the Auditing Section over an extended period of time.
