Symposium on Information Systems Assurance
Call for Papers
September 30October 2, 1999
The Center
for Information Systems Assurance at the University of Waterloo is
pleased to announce a symposium to be held September 30October
2, 1999 at the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and the
Skydome Hotel in downtown Toronto, Canada. The Symposium is
sponsored by the University of Waterloo, the Canadian Institute of
Chartered Accountants, the Information Systems Audit and Control
Association and the Information Systems Section of the American
Accounting Association. Proceedings will be published as a
supplement to the Journal of Information Systems, subject
to editorial review and approval by the editors of the Journal.
Theme
This symposium will focus on issues related to Information Systems
Assurance, broadly considered, with a particular interest in
addressing issues beyond those involved in the audit of general
purpose historic financial statements.
Papers are
invited from academe and practice. Submitted papers should be at
an advanced stage of completion. Authors must adhere to the
editorial style of the Journal of Information Systems. The
Journals Editorial Policy and Instructions to
Authors are included in each issue of the Journal or may
be obtained from the University of Waterloo Centre for Information
Systems Assurance through our website (http://watarts.uwaterloo.ca/ACCT/uwcisa.htm).
Notice of
acceptance or rejection will be sent out by June 15, 1999. Revised
papers must be received by July 30, 1999. Please send four copies
of the paper, together with a submission fee of U.S. $50.00
payable to the American Accounting Association, by March 15, 1999,
