2008 Conference Theme: Including Students as Co-authors in our Research

Members of the American Accounting Association, academicians, practitioners, and doctoral students are invited to participate in the 2008 AAA Northeast Regional Meeting. Papers may encompass any topical area of accounting and may be theoretical or practice-oriented. All papers submitted will be sent out for blind referee review. Completed papers should be received in hard copy or by e-mail (with the paper as a Word file attachment) no later than June 23, 2008. Earlier submissions are strongly encouraged. Each paper should have a cover sheet containing the following information for each author:

  • Name(s) - Please indicate contact author
  • Position/Title
  • Affiliation
  • Mailing Address
  • Telephone Numbers (office/home/fax)
  • E-mail

Topic Area (based on the following listing):

  • Accounting, Behavior and Organizations
  • Accounting History

Special Publication Opportunity:
The CPA Journal has agreed to consider for publication those papers that develop the 2008 Northeast Region conference theme of "Including Students as Co-authors in our Research," and that meet The CPA Journal's editorial needs and standards. The authors of the papers selected will also be invited to participate in a special session during the conference. Please clearly indicate on your cover page if you would like your paper to be considered in this category.

Special awards:
An award in the amount of $250 will be given for the best paper received in each of the following two groups:

  1. Student currently enrolled in an accounting doctoral program, or
  2. Accounting faculty member who received an accounting doctorate within the last three years.

Please clearly indicate on your cover page if you are eligible and would like to be considered for either of these awards.
