2009 Mid-Atlantic Regional Meeting

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS EXTENDED
Deadline for submission extended to: February 13, 2009
Paper will be accepted on a rolling basis with all authors to be notified by March 1st.
The 2009 AAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Meeting will be held at the Ocean Plaza Resort and Spa in Long Branch New Jersey. This hotel boasts stylish rooms with king sized beds overlooking the beach and the Atlantic Ocean. Just step out the door and you are on the beach. Links to Conference and Hotel registration information will be available on the region's website soon.
Members of the American Accounting Association, academicians, practitioners, and doctoral students are invited to participate in any of the following segments of the meeting:
- Completed papers
- Proposals for panel discussions, workshops, and emerging research
- Proposals for CPE (2 hour or 4 hour sessions)
- Teaching strategies forum
Papers, panels, and CPE may encompass any topical area of accounting and may be theoretical or practice-oriented. The program will be structured around the best submissions. The papers will be sent out for "blind referee review." Completed submissions should be received in electronic form no later than Monday, January 15, 2009. Notification of acceptance will be sent no later than Thursday, March 1, 2009.
To submit a paper for consideration, send an e-mail with the paper as a word file attachment to the program chair at MAR2009@monmouth.edu. Do not include any author identification on the Word file attachment. However, the e-mail should contain the following:

Authors may choose whether to publish an abstract or the paper in the meeting proceedings. Papers may also have been submitted to the American Accounting Association National meeting, but should not have been published elsewhere before the Mid-Atlantic meeting.
CPE sessions will be scheduled for Thursday, April 24. Paper presentations, panels, a teaching strategies forum, and workshops will be scheduled for Friday, April 25 and Saturday April 26.
In addition, this call solicits participants willing to serve as Discussants, Reviewers and Session Moderators.
If you wish to participate as a reviewer, discussant or moderator, Please email the program chair and indicate your interest/preference as a discussant, reviewer, or session moderator and the area in which you would like to participate.
