Call For Papers
The 2011 MAS Research and Case Conference and the MAS Doctoral Colloquium will be held January 6 - 8, 2011 in Atlanta, Georgia. The Doctoral Colloquium will be held on Thursday, January 6, and the Research and Case Conference will take place on Friday-Saturday, January 7- 8.
The deadline for submission of research papers and cases for the conference is August 20, 2010. Papers and cases must be submitted through the SSRN conference management system. The selection of conference papers and cases will be announced by October 19, 2010.
When submitting, authors will designate their research papers for consideration for a teaching session, concurrent research session only, or a poster research session (if not accepted for a concurrent session). By special arrangement with the Journal of Management Accounting Research (JMAR), papers accepted for a concurrent session can be submitted to JMAR with no submission fee subsequent to the conference. The standard review procedures for JMAR will apply.
Following last year’s success we are pleased to announce that the second annual JMAR Conference will be held again during the Management Accounting Section Meeting. Click Here if you wish your paper to be considered for the JMAR conference. Please note that the submission deadline for the JMAR Conference is earlier – July 1, 2010. If you wish your paper to be considered for the JMAR conference as well as for the Management Accounting Section conference please make sure that you submit your paper to both the MAS as well as to the JMAR conference (as submission to one does not presume submission to the other).
Finally, we wish to draw special attention to case submissions this year by way of an IMA-sponsored Best Case award at the conference. In addition, cases accepted for the conference will be automatically passed on to the IMA Educational Case Journal (IECJ) for publication under an expedited review process, unless the authors request otherwise.
