The 4th annual Public Interest Section mid-year meeting will be held in downtown Chicago at the Hyatt Regency. The hotel is conveniently located adjacent to many dining, cultural, and shopping venues. In addition to the main conference, we will hold a doctoral and new faculty consortium on Friday morning, April 1st. The 2010 consortium was highly regarded by the attendees, and we anticipate a valuable and informative session again in 2011.
For the first time, we will be pleased to offer a monetary award for the "best manuscript" presented at the conference. Limited funding for doctoral student travel expenses will be available as well.
The conference co-chairs are Mike Kraten of Providence College and Charlie Cullinan of Bryant College. The deadline for paper submissions is February 2, 2011; all papers should be submitted via email to mkraten@providence.edu. We also welcome proposals for guest speakers and panels by this deadline.
Furthermore, if you are willing to serve as a reviewer or discussant of manuscripts, please contact Charlie Cullinan at cullinan@bryant.edu. We look forward to seeing you at the conference!
