Call For Papers for the Strategic and Emerging Technologies
The Strategic and Emerging Technologies Section of the American Accounting Association will hold its 2011 Midyear Meeting in Atlanta, Georgia at the InterContinental Buckhead Hotel in conjunction with the Information Systems Section.
Members of the SET Section are encouraged to submit research or education papers to be considered for SET Section organized sessions at this meeting. Submissions are not eligible for consideration if they;
1) have been published or accepted for publication, or
2) were presented at the 2010 AAA Annual Meeting, or at more than on AAA regional meeting or other academic conference unless the author(s) indicate that the paper is substantially different due to further development.
Joint submissions to the SET Section and the IS Section of the same paper is not allowed, please submit your paper to only one section.
All paper submissions should be made no later than September 15, 2010.
To submit a research paper or education paper:
- Prepare two separate documents, one for your paper, one for your abstract.
- The abstract should contain a list of four keywords that will assist in indexing the paper.
- Do not include any author name(s) or contact information in either document.
- Both documents should be double-spaced, in 12-point font, with 1" margins.
- Log into the IS/SET SPRS, click “Create Program Submission”, and follow the instructions within the submission form.
Call for Volunteers:
If you are interested in reviewing manuscripts and/or being a moderator or discussant, please follow these steps:
- Go to the AAA IS/SET SPRS.
- An account has been created for you, but if you have not logged into the SPRS previously, you will need to create your own password. To do this click “Unknown/Forgotten Password” at the bottom of the IS/SET SPRS Welcome Page to have a temporary password emailed to you, giving you access to your account.
- Once you are logged into your account, click “Modify Profile/Volunteer Information” and change the password to your personal choice.
- Scroll down the profile page until you see the drop down lists. In the drop down list for “Conference Role(s) Interested In,” select those roles in which you would like to play a part for the SET Midyear Meeting. The meeting coordinators will search for you based upon your selections in this drop down list.
- Also, enter the research areas that you work on in “Research Keywords.” This will help the meeting coordinators assign you to volunteer opportunities that best fit you.
