"Appropriate composition and qualifications of the accounting faculty are
essential to creating and delivering high quality accounting programs.
Additionally, a systematic and continuous strategy for professional interaction
and for the development of an awareness of current and predicted business and
accounting issues are particularly important to faculty currency and to the
relevance of accounting course content.
A-FD.5: The accounting faculty, as a whole, must possess a level of relevant
practical experience in business and accounting and must demonstrate an
appropriate level of professional interaction consistent with the accounting
unit's mission."
