Call for Awards Nominations
The Awards Committee seeks award nominations for the best research paper, the best dissertation paper, and the best teaching innovation dealing with forensic accounting and investigative services.
- Criteria for the best research paper award in forensic accounting and investigative services:
- Original research paper;
- Strongest empirical design (if appropriate);
- Greatest contribution to the body of knowledge;
- Greatest potential impact on practice.
- The best teaching innovation award pertains to a course in forensic accounting or investigative services. The teaching innovation might include, but is not limited to,
- The development of a new framework or paradigm;
- The development of a creative learning technique or methodology;
- The use of original cases or other course materials designed by the instructor;
- The integration of ethics, communications skills into forensic accounting courses.
- To be eligible for the dissertation paper award, candidates must submit a working paper from the dissertation and must have been completed in 2009 or 2010. Criteria for the best dissertation includes
- Originality,
- Empirical design (if appropriate),
- Contribution to the literature,
- Impact on practice.
