February 13, 2009
Location: Tradewinds Island Resort, St. Pete Beach, Florida, USA
Thanks to the generous sponsorship of KPMG, the International Section of the AAA will be holding its fifth annual Doctoral/New Faculty Consortium on February 13, 2009. Doctoral students and new faculty who are interested in pursuing international accounting research are invited to attend.
The 5th Annual Doctoral Student/New Faculty Consortium will be held on Friday, February 13 with an opening reception/dinner on Thursday evening, February 12. Eligible doctoral students will have all meeting fees waived and hotel room, for two nights paid (double accommodation) or one night paid (single accommodation) by the International Accounting Section. New Faculty will have similar benefits but must pay the midyear registration fee.
The Section will also waive registration fees for the entire midyear conference for doctoral students (which include all the meals and social events). The consortium will include top international researchers and educators from around the world. Doctoral students should be beyond their first year of study and new faculty must be in their first to third year after Ph.D. graduation at their first academic position. Space is limited so interested participants are encouraged to apply early. Applicants will be notified of acceptance based on space constraints and eligibility by Professor Carolyn M. Callahan, ccallahan@walton.uark.edu.
