AAA President Mary Stone has established a committee to study and make recommendations about possible responses to the recommendations in Accounting Education: Charting the Course Through a Perilous Future.
Committee Charge:
- Study reports and recommendations of the AAA/AICPA/Big 5/IMA Strategic Thinking Team, including the monograph Accounting Education: Charting the Course Through a Perilous Future.
- Choose which, if any, of the recommendations should be the subject of AAA faculty development initiatives that would aid interested faculty in implementing the recommendations.
- Provide a progress reports to the Executive Committee of the AAA.
- Submit recommendations to the AAA Executive Committee in time for consideration at the spring 2001 Executive Committee meeting.
