Call for Submissions
SUBMISSION DEADLINE EXTENDED TO February 5, 2010!
The 2010 AAA Southeast Regional Meeting will be held at The Renaissance Riverview Plaza Hotel in Mobile, Alabama from April 8-10, 2010. The hotel is in historic downtown Mobile near picturesque Mobile Bay. Shops, restaurants, museums, and other attractions are within walking distance of the hotel. It is located just minutes from the Mobile Regional Airport. Mobile is home to the Bellingrath Gardens, the U.S.S. Alabama Battleship, the Mobile Mardi Gras History Museum, the Exploreum and IMAX Theater, and the Mobile Symphony. Mobile is also near beautiful Gulf Shores Beach and Orange Beach. Golf, tennis, boating, deep-sea fishing, walking on the beach, and other outdoor activities are available.

Papers and panels may encompass any topical area of accounting and may be theoretical or practice-oriented. Topic areas may include:

The program will be structured around the best submissions. The papers will be sent out for "blind referee review." Completed submissions should be received in electronic form no later than February 5, 2010.
Papers will be accepted on a rolling basis with all authors to be notified by February 15, 2010. To submit a paper for consideration, send an email with the paper as a Word file attachment to the program chair at gprescot@usouthal.edu. Do not include any author identification on the Word file attachment but be sure to include complete contact information in the body of your email. Please submit the document as double spaced, 12 point font, with one inch margins. In the subject line of the email message, please use ‘2010 SEAAA Submission’. The message of the email should contain the following:
- Name(s) (Please indicate the contact author)
- Position/Title
- Affiliation
- Complete mailing address
- Telephone numbers (office/fax)
- Email address
- Topic area from the list provided above
- Abstract of the paper – please include a short abstract of the paper (no more than one paragraph)
Authors may choose whether to publish an abstract or the paper in the meeting proceedings. Papers may also have been submitted to the American Accounting Association National meeting, but should not have been published elsewhere before the Southeast meeting.
Paper presentations and panels will be scheduled for Friday, April 9 and Saturday, April 10.

- Reviewers
- Session Moderators
If you wish to participate as a reviewer or moderator, please email the program chair and indicate your interest/preference as a reviewer and/or session moderator and the topical area in which you would like to participate.
There will be a conference award for the Best Manuscript, Best Student Paper and a T&C Section award for the Best Educational Paper.
