Title: Using
Technology in Intermediate Accounting
Presenter:
Jim Sepe, Santa Clara University (408) 554-4036
Session
description:
The purpose of the session is to present to interested faculty techniques used
to integrate technology into the intermediate classroom. Specifically, the
session will cover the use of the Internet and multi media (interactive testing
and illustrations, video clips, etc.) using examples from the presenter's own
intermediate course. The performance of the presenter's students has increased
dramatically since incorporating these techniques into his intermediate course
a few years ago. The Internet (either one's own web site or available sites
created for use with a particular text), in particular, is an extremely
efficient way of providing students with helpful information.
While the examples
used will be from an intermediate accounting course, these techniques could
easily be employed in any accounting course.
The registration fee
is $20.
