Principles of Accounting courses play a critical role in shaping students’ first impressions of accounting and, for many, whether they can envision themselves pursuing accounting as a major or career. As the profession changes rapidly, helping students see the relevance of what they are learning—and connecting foundational concepts to real-world decisions, technology, and career opportunities—is more important than ever.
In this interactive weARE webinar, organized by the FASO Principles Working Group, representatives from Deloitte, EY, KPMG, and PwC will showcase educational resources that can be used or adapted in Principles of Financial and/or Managerial Accounting. Through real-world cases, activities, simulations, analytics, and other resources, the session will demonstrate ways to make Principles courses more engaging, relevant, and connected to the evolving accounting profession while helping students develop the skills and perspectives needed for the future of work.
Participants will leave with practical resources and ideas they can incorporate into their courses to bring accounting concepts to life and help students see accounting—and accounting careers—in new ways.

The webinar supports the FASO Principles Working Group's goals of disseminating effective teaching resources and strengthening partnerships between educators and the profession.
