Enhancing Accounting History

Webinar Description:

The Accounting Historians Journal and the Academy Accounting Historians section of the AAA are pleased to sponsor research webinars on Friday, April 9, 2021 from 10:00 am EDT to 1:00 pm EDT and Friday, April 23, 2021 from 10:00 am EDT to 1:00 pm EDT.

Our webinar theme is Enhancing Accounting History. This theme will likely appeal all accounting history researchers. PhD candidates are particularly encouraged to submit papers. The purpose of this research webinar is to provide detailed and insightful commentary on accounting history papers to facilitate publication in the Accounting Historians Journal and other quality journals. Each paper will be discussed by subject experts.

Prerequisites:

• Academy of Accounting Historian Section members will be requested to submit a paper for presentation.
• Preference with be given to papers dealing with the theme.

Learning Objectives:

• Provide detailed feedback to authors to improve their papers for publication.
• Develop accounting papers from archives, the accounting literature, and most importantly the accounting history literature.

Fees:

Submission Information:

After two blind reviews, papers will be accepted for presentation, with four presented on each day. Papers will be made available to participants in advance, and there will be two discussants for each presented paper.
