The Accounting Historians Journal and the Academy Accounting Historians section of the AAA are pleased to sponsor a two part research webinar on Friday, February 25, 2022 from 10:00 am- 1:00 pm Eastern and Friday, March 18, 2022 from 10:00 am- 1:00 pm Eastern.

This will be our fourth annual two-part mid-year webinar. The theme, Learning from Accounting History will likely appeal all accounting history researchers. PhD candidates are particularly encouraged to submit papers. The purpose of this research webinar is to provide detailed and insightful commentary on accounting history papers to facilitate publication in the Accounting Historians Journal and other quality journals. Each paper will be assessed by two (blind) reviewers in addition to a discussant and the other participants. In advance, all participants will receive copies of the papers. After the two blind reviews, papers will be accepted for presentation, with four presented on each of the two days.

  1. Provide detail feedback to authors to improve their papers in pursuit of quality publications
  2. Develop accounting papers from archives, the accounting literature, and most importantly the accounting history literature

These fields represent the primary knowledge and skill areas needed by accounting licensees to perform professional services in all fields of employment. Sessions that offer CPE credit have the Field of Study and Credit Hours (CH) in red. Each Credit Hour is based on 50 minutes. American Accounting Association is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
