It’s almost time again for the AAA’s Global Connect Run & Walk Group – a tradition started at the 2013 Annual Meeting!

This year’s Global Connect will take place in Las Vegas, NV at Caesars Palace Las Vegas from August 1-5, 2026.

If you want to run or walk outside during Global Connect and blow off the treadmills, a running/walking group is being planned so that you can be assured of having other AAA people to accompany you, regardless of your pace.

The run/walk group has been a favorite for conference attendees. Runners and walkers will show up by 5:30 am Eastern outside the front entrance of Caesars Palace on August 3, 4, and 5. The plan is to head out at 5:35 am.

The run/walk group is open to all attendees, their family members, and friends.  Although the AAA supports this effort enthusiastically, it is an informal group, and hence, no registration… just show up and have fun while mitigating the damage that travel can inflict on your normal fitness routine.  You may meet some colleagues that you wouldn’t have met otherwise!

Watch for some running routes to be posted in the future.

Please take note that the heat in August, even in the early morning hours, can be overwhelming if you are not used to it. Drink 10–15 oz. of water 10–15 minutes before running and be sure to bring water for any run over 20 minutes. Use electrolyte replacements to maintain fluid balance.
