Objectives
- Continue to develop innovative teaching techniques through articles
in the Two-Year College Section newsletter, the Communicator, and
through presentations at the regional and national meetings.
- Encourage Two-Year College members to serve as regional representatives
and officers, and to serve on committees.
- Build membership in the Two-Year College Section.
Member Application for Two-Year College Faculty
We are currently accepting applications for the 2020-2021 member
year. The AAA now offers a membership category for any fulltime
faculty member who teaches at a Two-Year College. This one year
membership features reduced dues in the AAA and includes an electronic
subscription to all three AAA online journals: The Accounting Review, Accounting Horizons,
and
Issues in Accounting Education. All electronic journals
are searchable and downloadable through the Digital Library. Members have complimentary
online access to prior years of additional content while they subscribe.

The 2017–2018 TYC Nominations Committee announces the slate of officers for President-Elect and Secretary-Treasurer.
Candidates for the 2018–2019 TYC Executive Committee positions are listed below. The election will open on Thursday, August 23, 2018. CLICK HERE to review the candidate information.

Voting Process
•Consistent with the TYC Bylaws, the slate will be posted 30 days in advance of the election and will include at least one (1) name for each position.
•Additional nominations may be made by a petition signed by twenty-five (25) Regular or Life TYC Section members submitted to the President at least 15 days prior to the beginning of the election. Additional nominations should be submitted to Sidney Askew at saskew@bmcc.cuny.edu by Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at 11:59 Eastern Time.
•Persons so nominated must previously have agreed to serve if elected.
•The membership of the Section will be notified prior to the election of the nominations made by petition.
•All elections will be conducted by mail, facsimile, or electronic vote.
•Only Regular and Life members of the TYC Section are eligible to vote.
•Online voting shall take place between Thursday, August 23, 2018 and Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 11:59 pm Eastern Time. (Detailed voting instructions will be provided later via email to Section Members.)
Nominations Committee (per TYC Bylaws)
The Nominations Committee duties include soliciting candidates from the membership for open offices and preparing a slate of at least one (1) candidate for each of the open offices. It will consist of one (1) or more Past Presidents (the most senior of whom will chair the committee) and four (4) other persons elected by the Executive Committee. Members of the TYC Section Nominations Committee are not eligible for nomination to any TYC Section office while serving on the committee.
