    Section Membership

The Leadership Section seeks to be the premier resource and voice for the accounting program leadership community. This includes:

    • The annual Leadership mid-year meeting which includes sessions across the broad spectrum of responsibilities faced by leadership including curriculum, recruiting, managing personnel, accreditation, and much more.
    • The section presents a New Leaders Symposium which provides both direct coverage of topics faced by those undertaking new responsibilities and also connects you to both more seasoned leaders and peers in a similar situation. The topics covered are rotated over three years so that you have the opportunity to take in the information and gain a network of other leaders to interact with regularly.
    • Learn about upcoming trends and changes in the accounting profession and industry, hear from thought leaders from accounting firms and organizations like AICPA, IMA, and CAQ on hiring needs and demand for accounting students. Also, get tips on accreditation from AACSB personnel, discuss curriculum changes and share ideas on how to grow your undergraduate and graduate programs.
    • We value collegiality and have a long history of welcoming and supporting the development of new section members.
    • Members from every type of program: small/medium/large, private/public, with and without doctoral, masters, and undergraduate programs. Additionally, our members have a wealth of experience across running programs, departments, or even in administration that they are willing to share with you in order that you may succeed.
