Tim Louwers
Professor Tim Louwers is the Director of the School of Accounting at James Madison University where he holds the title of KPMG Eminent Professor of Accounting. Prior to beginning his academic career, he worked in public accounting with KPMG specializing in financial, governmental, and information systems auditing. He is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Information Systems Auditor, and is certified in Financial Forensics by the American Institute of CPAs.  He has authored or co-authored 12 books and over 50 articles on a wide range of accounting, auditing, and technology-related topics, including publications in the Journal of Accounting Research, Accounting Horizons, Behavioral Research in Accounting, Decision Science, and Issues in Accounting Education. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Professor Louwers is currently chairing the Auditing SubCommittee for the CPA Exam.


Rich Gallagher

Richard Gallagher joined the AICPA Examinations team as Director of Content on December 1, 2014. Rich leads the Exam’s team of CPAs on the development and monitoring of the current Exam, and played a key role in the recently completed Practice Analysis, a comprehensive research project designed to assess the knowledge and skills required of newly licensed CPAs. The next version of the CPA Exam to be launched in April 2017 is the result of the Practice Analysis.
Rich has worked as a CPA for almost 40 years. He retired from Ernst & Young’s New York City based National Professional Practice Group in June 2014. In this role, Rich supported engagement teams and their clients in resolving complex accounting and auditing issues. He also served as Engagement Quality Review Partner on many of EYs New York and New Jersey based clients. Prior to National Office, Rich was a client handling partner based in the firm’s MetroPark New Jersey office.  Rich began his career in Arthur Young’s Newark office in 1976.

Jan Morris
Jan Taylor Morris, Ph.D., CPA, CGMA, is an Associate Professor of Accounting at Sam Houston State University, Huntsville, TX.  Her primary teaching area is auditing. Her other teaching interests include financial accounting, nonprofit and governmental accounting, financial statement analysis, and ethics and leadership. Jan’s primary research interests relate to auditing and accounting ethics and leadership.  She has published or has forthcoming publications in journals such as Issues in Accounting Education, Journal of Accountancy, Business Studies Journal, Journal of Forensic & Investigative Accounting, Journal of Behavioral Studies in Business, Strategic Finance, Management Accounting Quarterly, Journal of Accounting and Free Enterprise, Journal of Health Management, and Journal of Healthcare Finance.  Jan was recently appointed to the AICPA’s Pre-certification Education Executive Committee and is active in the AICPA’s Women’s Executive Initiative Task Force.  Jan is a licensed CPA in the state of Texas and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) through the American Society of CPAs.
