Pandemic Fraud Lessons Learned: Data, Data, Data

This session will provide accounting academics with a lens into the emerging methodologies used by the Pandemic Response Accountability Commission (PRAC) Fraud Task Force and the Pandemic Analytics Center of Excellence (PACE). PACE uses advanced analytic tools and multiple data sources to uncover suspicious network activity and to identify anomalies and has developed models for inter-agency risk management and data sharing, and cross-agency analytics.

Learning Objective(s): 1. Develop an understanding of the PRAC and PACE.
2. Demonstrate an understanding of advanced data analytic techniques and methods used in fraud detection investigations.
3. Summarize key risks and red flags identified during the course of fraud detection procedures.
