Accounting Horizons - Academic Research with Relevance to Practice

Accounting Horizons publishes rigorous academic research that is relevant to practice. The journal will hold a one-hour webinar starting at 11am Eastern on Tuesday, June 24, 2025. Two of our journal editors, Lauren Cunningham and Karen Nelson, will share tips on how to conduct practice-relevant academic research. We will also discuss the 2026 Conference on Bridging Accounting Research and Practice and the open call for broadening research methods. The webinar will not be recorded. Please bring your questions!

1. Identify ways in which researchers can pursue projects that are relevant to practice.
2. Describe journal activities that are designed to help bridge the gap between research and practice.
