other credentialing organizations maintain specific CPE
policies and have final authority on the acceptance of
individual courses for CPE credit. Each meeting
attendee is responsible for staying current on the CPE
policies of his/her credentialing bodies.
Case Studies and Other Resources to Teach Contemporary Accounting Issues
Ethical dilemmas are presented in the form of short stories for students to read and analyze, using a framework for discussion. The cases are authored by Dr. Barbara Porco, Associate Dean of Graduate Studies, Professor of Accounting and Taxation, and the Executive Director for the Center for Professional Accounting Practices at Fordham University-Gabelli School of Business, and are hosted on KPMG University Connection.
Learning Objective: To learn how to use case studies and other resources to help students better understand ethical decision making and implications on contemporary accounting issues
