The 2024 MAS/IMA Teaching Case Conference
Jointly Sponsored by the AAA Management Accounting Section and the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA)
The Conference will be a hybrid model hosted at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in Chattanooga, TN on September 20 – 21, 2024.
Our goal is for participants to return to their campuses prepared with new skills and resources to enhance their case teaching and writing activities.
Are you looking for cases to use in your class? This teaching case-focused conference will allow participants to explore each case's richness as well as learn the authors' teaching tips
Are you new to teaching cases and need some guidance? Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from experienced faculty as they demonstrate how they use cases in their class.
Have you started writing a case and want some guidance on how to get it published? Learn from a panel of IECJ editors and get feedback on a case that you’re working on.
Elevator Speech and Workshop Session
Do you have an idea or situation for a teaching case, but you’re still trying to work through the details or student learning objectives?
Share your idea in our elevator speech session and then get feedback from seasoned conference attendees and an associate editor for the IMA Educational Case Journal. In this workshop session you can get guidance on case design and learn the next steps to getting your case journal-submission ready. Submit your case idea, along with the specific element(s) where you desire feedback.
