Using SQL as a foundational technology, we will demonstrate how to students to Alteryx for basic data analysis.  We will review some of the core functionality of Alteryx and relate that to traditional SQL data analysis.  A set of core exercises will be available for attendees to use in their own classroom.

Teaching Session #2: Unstructured Data Challenges

Learn how practitioners currently use unstructured data and how you, even with no previous background working with unstructured data, can introduce students to this area using freely available software. The case is designed as an introduction to unstructured data for auditing, accounting information systems, fraud examination, and financial statement analysis courses but can be used in any accounting course where the content of relevant documents is subject to examination.
