MAS Global Scholars Program
The MAS Global Scholars Program is back in 2025. This program connects management accounting PhD students across the world to experienced academics. The program aims to facilitate knowledge exchange, enhance research outcomes, and provide guidance and support for the next generation of management accounting scholars.
Program details
- Open to all international doctoral students who have completed at least one full year of doctoral study.
- Four mentoring sessions of up to 45 minutes each over one year.
- First session in September 2025.
- Mentees and mentors matched based on research topic and method.

PhD students do not need to be a MAS member to apply. Mentees accepted into the program will need to join the AAA MAS as a student member (you can find the membership application form here) but can apply for one-year fee waiver if suffering from financial hardship.

The mission of the Journal of Management Accounting Research (JMAR) is to advance the theory and practice of management accounting through publication of high-quality applied and theoretical research, using any well-executed research method. JMAR serves the global community of scholars and practitioners whose work impacts or is informed by the role that accounting information plays in decision-making and performance measurement within organizations.
