SUBMISSION ARE OPEN!
On behalf of the Management Accounting Section of the AAA, we are delighted to invite you to the 2026 Management Accounting Section Midyear Meeting, taking place January 8–10, 2026, in Nashville, Tennessee—a city known for its vibrant music, rich history, and Southern hospitality.
This year’s meeting will feature our traditional trio of events: the MAS Research Conference, the IMA Doctoral Colloquium, and the CGMA Teaching and Practice Symposium. Please note a new format of the CGMA Teaching and Practice Symposium which will be held in its entirety on Thursday, January 8. If you know anyone who would like to attend only the Teaching Symposium, there will be a separate, one-day registration option that includes the Thursday evening opening reception. Spread the word!
In addition to outstanding research and teaching sessions, you’ll enjoy a uniquely Nashville experience filled with culture, live music, and great food. Nashville is affectionately known as “Music City” for its deep roots in country music and its status as a creative hub for artists, songwriters, and performers. It is home to legendary venues such as the Grand Ole Opry and the Ryman Auditorium, and its energetic downtown is lined with live music at every turn. For those interested in American history, the city also boasts the Country Music Hall of Fame and the National Museum of African American Music. Food lovers can indulge in famous Nashville hot chicken, barbecue, and a growing farm-to-table dining scene.
We are excited to welcome researchers, educators, doctoral students, and practitioners from across the country to share ideas and advance the future of management accounting.
Please submit your work to the research conference or the teaching symposium.
We also encourage you to bring your family and extend your stay—Nashville in January offers a mild winter getaway with plenty of activities for all ages.
Mark your calendars now for January 8–10, 2026 and stay tuned for more details coming soon on registration, the program, and hotel accommodations.
We look forward to seeing you in Nashville!
