The GASB is recruiting for its Postgraduate Technical Assistant (PTA) program with one-year appointments beginning either July 2026 or January 2027 for students who have completed 150 hours by that time. The application deadline for both start dates is November 30, and the application requires nomination by an accounting department and letters of recommendation. The program offers a transformational opportunity for accounting graduates, with exposure to all facets of the standard-setting process and the potential to enter accounting firms or economic consulting firms at higher rank upon completion. As part of a collaboration, we are also delighted to announce that our meeting will include: (a) research sessions for the Public Interest, Ethics, and Sustainability (PIES) Section of AAA and (b) a doctoral consortium for students and new scholars interested in GNP and/or PIES research.
