Talk Info:
Compelling narratives can be used to entertain or persuade. They are also a powerful addition to your teaching toolbox. In this interactive talk, we will discuss several different case study types and evaluate their usefulness in diverse situations. Participants will be invited to describe a topic they would like to explore, identify relevant stories, and link their topic to their story. We will then outline the process to expand a simple news story to illustrate core concepts and discuss the advantages and disadvantages of case-based learning in a variety of different contexts.
