AAA Board of Directors Election Results
The results of the recent election for the 2020-2021 Board of Directors positions have been tallied and certified. Congratulations and welcome to the following new Board Members:
- President-Elect, Robert (Bob) D. Allen, The University of Utah
- Vice President-Education, Beth B.Kern, Indiana University South Bend
- Director-Focusing on International, Giorgio Gotti, The University of Texas at El Paso
- Director-Focusing on Membership, Ann C. Dzuranin, Northern Illinois University
New Board members will begin their 3-year terms at the 2020 Annual Meeting.

Council Chair-Elect Election Results
Following the April 2020 Council meeting, the election for the 2020-2021 Council Chair-Elect was conducted. Council members elected Monte Swain from Brigham Young University as Council Chair-Elect. Monte is currently serving a three-year term as the Management Accounting Section representative to the AAA Council.
Monte will begin a 3-year term as Council Chair-Elect at the 2021 Annual Meeting, when Nancy Nichols (James Madison University) becomes Chair of Council, and Cindy Durtschi (DePaul University) moves into the Past-Chair role.
International Council Member-at-Large Election Results
Following the March 2019 Board of Directors Meeting, the election for the 2019-2022 International Council Member-at-Large was conducted. Mandy Cheng, from the UNSW Business School (Australia) was elected and has accepted the position. Mandy's term will begin following the Council Meeting at the 2019 Annual Meeting in San Francisco, CA.
Mandy was elected from an extensive pool of qualified candidates. We appreciate everyone’s willingness to serve the AAA Community!
