Welcome to the 2023 IMA Doctoral Colloquium online application form

The Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) is sponsoring the 26th Annual IMA Doctoral Colloquium to be held in Atlanta, Georgia at the Emory Conference Center Hotel on Thursday, January 5, 2023.

Please complete the application form below. We encourage doctoral students at any stage in their degree to apply. However, space might be limited and, if necessary, priority will be given to more senior students. The deadline for applications is Thursday, September 15. Students wishing to attend the Midyear meeting will need to register separately for the meeting.

The Colloquium is complimentary to accepted MAS Students. In addition, lodging costs for Wednesday night's stay (Wednesday and Thursday nights’ stay if participants share a room with another participant) at the conference hotel may be reimbursable by the American Accounting Association (AAA) subject to funding constraints. Acceptance and reimbursement decisions will be sent out by September 30.

With generous support from the MAS PhD student Fund, the MAS PhD Mentorship Program will take place during the 2023 IMA Doctoral Colloquium! Click HERE for more information.

Note that you will need to be an American Accounting Association (AAA) member and a member of the Management Accounting Section (MAS) to apply for the colloquium. If you have not yet joined the AAA and MAS as a student member you may do so at: http://aaahq.org/Membership
Please do this before applying to the Colloquium. You will need your AAA Member number for the application.

If you have any difficulty with the application process, or if you have any questions about the Colloquium, please contact either Laura Wang or Kyonghee Kim.
