Day 1 (Tuesday, January 3) will focus on practical tips and tricks that can enhance any class! Dr. Lisa Nunn, author of 33 Simple Strategies for Faculty and College Belonging) will share simple and easy tips for improving engagement and belongingness. Interactive sessions will allow you to share with and learn from others. You will leave with practicable strategies that can improve your teaching immediately.
Day 2 (Wednesday, January 4) will focus on curricular initiatives that improve management accounting education. Tom Hood from the AICPA-CIMA will discuss developing future-ready management accounting professionals. You will also hear from accounting educators around the country about curricular initiatives they have implemented to attract and retain accounting students. You will leave with ideas to reinvigorate your accounting curriculum.
Participation is included with registration for the 2023 MAS Midyear Meeting and free for all doctoral students! MAS members who are unable to attend the 2023 MAS Midyear Meeting can engage with their colleagues from the MAS by attending for the low cost of $15, thanks to generous sponsorship from the AICPA-CIMA.
