Behind The Great and Powerful Wizard: How Big Data Is Re-Shaping Hollywood and Our Culture

The media moguls that brought us to the wild, wild West, and took us on odysseys to the furthest reaches of space, now enter the newest frontier of exploration and adventure - Big Data. How are our cultural industries navigating (and cultivating) this ever-shifting terrain of data feedback? And what danger does this virtual realm hold for the curious consumer?

Join Ruth McCartney, Internet, Digital and New Media Entrepreneur, for a discussion of how our cultural engagement is being monitored... and manipulated.

Career Connection

New this year, get the Icon!

The AAA Ohio Region is pleased to provide a new career service, open to all meeting attendees. The Ohio Region Meeting Career Connection connects employers and job seekers, allowing them to schedule time at the OH meeting to talk, network and explore options!

How does this work?
The Career Connection highlights attending job seekers and employers by adding this icon to their resume or job listing on the AAA Career Center:

This icon next to your posting/resume signals your interest to employers or job seekers that you would like to be contacted to set up a private meeting at the Ohio Region Meeting to talk about career opportunities.

Please note that all employers and job seekers must be paid attendees of Ohio Region Meeting.

How do I get involved?

Employers:

POST A JOB ON THE AAA CAREER CENTER

Job Seekers:

POST YOUR RESUME ON THE AAA CAREER CENTER

(AAA members can post their resume for FREE!)

Steps for adding the OH Icon:

  1. Once your job or resume is posted, or if you currently have a job or resume posted, log into your account
  2. Look for the "The AAA Ohio Region Meeting Career Connection is on the horizon!" box on your "My Account" tab.
  3. Click on "Register" in the bottom right corner and choose the "Ohio Region Meeting Icon" add-on

Once selected, your job posting or resume will now be shown with the 2015 Ohio Region Meeting Icon next to it.

How do I find employers/job seekers in order to contact them about setting up a meeting?

Search Jobs

Search Resumes

At the bottom of each search page, you will see a check box that will limit your search to only Ohio  Region Meeting jobs/resumes. Whether you use this option or not, all jobs/resumes that will be attending will have the OH region icon next to it. This simplifies the search process and makes it much easier schedule time to meet!
