Doctoral Consortium: Thursday March 31, 2022, 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
The Doctoral Consortium will provide participants with a unique setting to network and interact with each other and senior researchers and teachers. The sessions in the Consortium will be open to all attendees but will be tailored specifically to doctoral students and new faculty who are at the beginning of their careers. Topics discussed include navigating a successful PhD journey, building teaching and research portfolios, the job search process, and preparing for tenure review.

2:10 pm – 2:55 pm Research Pipeline; timeline of an article, what makes for a successful research project, topic, data, co-authors, using an editor, where to submit, when to submit, rejection, revise, and resubmit, research efficiency, how to leverage your investment
3:00 pm – 3:55 pm Panel Discussion; Q&A covering, jobs search, types of schools, expectations for teaching and research, when to go on the market, the process, research, tenure, other topics
