2025 AAA Bylaws Revisions

The AAA Governance Committee is proposing revisions to the current AAA Bylaws that were last revised in 2022.

Why do these updates matter? The proposed updates:

• Replace outdated wording from 2022,
• Clarify Board of Directors and Council responsibilities, and
• Realign Member responsibilities with current AAA processes
   

In accordance with the current AAA Bylaws:

• The written notice of the Bylaws Amendment Proposal has been posted for the required 90 days and voting opened to the membership on Tuesday, August 12, 2025.
• To be amended, a minimum of 10% of all eligible Association members, as of the end of the prior fiscal year must cast votes. Of the votes cast, at least two-thirds must be affirmative.
• Student members are not eligible to vote – in accordance with the current AAA Bylaws.
