Generative AI in Accounting: Real-World Examples, Hands-On Exercises and Teaching Resources

In this session, we will focus on how we can enhance students’ understanding of how AI transforms accounting tasks, from automating processes to generating insights. Participants will receive access to ready-to-use materials that address introductory accounting topics, such as cash flow reporting, financial statement preparation, product costing, and budgeting. These materials are designed to complement existing course content in the introductory classes while introducing students to accounting applications of generative AI.

Learning Objective(s): 1. Gain insight into AI’s impact on accounting tasks.
2. Access a turnkey set of teaching materials, including exercises, mini-cases, and discussion prompts.
