Using Storytelling and Narratives as a Framework for Exploring Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Issues in Accounting

How can accounting faculty use storytelling and narratives as a framework for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) conversations in the classroom? We begin by discussing the importance of culturally responsive teaching and the power of stories. We then examine narrative methods to help students explore DEIB questions and share stories. Finally, we discuss resources and new initiatives to support accounting faculty.
