How Can Accounting Students Participate in Service Learning to Aid the Elderly?

This webinar is sponsored by the Forensic Accounting Section

This panel will discuss opportunities for service-learning that aids the elderly. As elder fraud continues to grow, prospects for accountants to assist in protecting the elderly likewise grow and offer service-learning opportunities for accounting students. Students and educators alike can have a positive impact on this vulnerable population. High impact practices, such as service learning, further aid student recruitment and retention so serving the elderly in this way has many benefits.

Learning Objective(s): To identify ways accounting students and educators can serve the elderly, combat elder fraud, and participate in service learning opportunities.
